Avenged Sevenfold’s – “A Little Piece Of Heaven” got the 187th spot on the New York Post’s “207 Best Songs To Download From 2007.” The Post described the song as “a demented, creepy, circus-like song about necrophilia and other dark things.” We’d agree!
It looks as if M. Shadows is gracing the cover of this weeks Kerrang! You can check out the amazing, and I do mean amazing, cover below.
John Reese (co-founder of Rockstar Taste Of Chaos) announced tonight that he and Kevin Lyman are “working on Canada” and that “Canada is NOT cancelled.” The two are currently trying to sort it out. In addition, he stated that the dates will be announced within the next 10 days and they are not sure how many they’ll have.
Kerry King from Slayer thinks so. Keep in mind, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and he may have been joking.

We broke the news first on December 25th that it was rumored Avenged Sevenfold would be opening for Iron Maiden this summer on their European Tour… Now here’s the confirmation…

We have some very special news that we want to share with you. This summer, we will be joining one of our favorite and most influential bands, Iron Maiden, on an amazing tour of sold out stadiums throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.

We know it’s a few months off but we came across a cute Christmas article from 2002 on SplendidEzine.com not too long ago where M. Shadows and Zacky Vengeance were asked “What’s the best holiday gift you’ve ever given? We’re not talking about the fanciest or most expensive gift, but the one that made you far more excited about giving it than about anything you might receive in return.” – Their answers are below:
M.Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold): I got my girlfriend a nice ring to show her my dedication. I know that made her excited.
Zacky Vengeance (Avenged Sevenfold): Everything I get people I’m sure to save the receipts ‘cos they usually hate it. I’m planning on buying everyone I know presents that I want so that way when they don’t like them I’ll take them off their hands.
Heath Ledger was found dead this evening in a Lower Manhatten apartment. We know this isn’t Avenged Sevenfold news but “The Dark Knight” was our top movie for 2008. Our prayers and condolences go out to his friends and family.
Also we are aware that some of you “don’t care” (though this is one of our top posts since last night) all you simply have to do is bypass the post. Do not leave disrespectfull comments as they will not be approved.

We’ve spent the last couple of days since the release of “Crossroads” onto the F.A.N. Network trying to decipher the lyrics, and we’ve finally come to something that we think is pretty close! Note: These are NOT the officially lyrics, just what we think we hear. The only part we haven’t worked out is what The Rev sings. If you think a part of this might be wrong, or have an idea of alternate lyrics, feel free to leave a comment!
Crossroads by Avenged Sevenfold

We just wanted to thank you guys for an amazing past two days. We work hard to bring you everything before you can read it, see it, hear it, anywhere and the best pay off is knowing you all enjoy it. Yesterday we brought in a whopping 1975 hits and today? A whopping 2288!! That is righteous. Before then we had only hit 1,097 when we debuted the rumor of Avenged Sevenfold hitting the road with Iron Maiden in Europe! And don’t worry, we’ll have more news on that ;) – Thank you all so much for everything, you’re what makes all the hard work and searching worth it.
