Cam Rackam has put up the original “The Beast And The Harlot” painting he did for Avenged Sevenfold on Ebay.

“I had reciently finished 2 paintings for the City of Evil record, when met up with M.Shadows at a friends house to listen to the album. He told me he needed to pick up the album artwork before tomorrows photography deadline. I informed him I just finished a third painting for Beast and the Harlot single. He approved it on the spot before even seeing it which was definatly exciting, but the problem was I hadn’t painted a drop yet.

I slipped out of the party. Grabbed some no doze, a rebull, and a coffee, and raced back to my studio. In 26 hours, I finished what I consider the my fastest, most successful and personal triumph; The Beast and the Harlot. M.Shadows walks into the studio the next day to find me just finishing. I was standing over the painting red-eyed, reeking of coffee, and waving a hair dryer at it, trying to force the paint dry. “No f-cking way, thats awesome,” he laughed. He also found it funny when I told him I started it last night moments I got to the party. After calling me a crazy person, he took the wet painting to the label the next day. In a couple of months the album launched, and in a couple more the single went #1 on the furious five at nine on KROQ.”
