Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan To Appear On New Avenged Album, “Nightmare.”

As stated to The Pulse Of Radio by M Shadows some of The Rev’s vocals will appear on the new Avenged Sevenfold album.
“Jimmy actually left a couple of vocals on the record,” he said. “They’re kind of like a goodbye. It just happens that he sang ‘em in key, he sang the words very clearly, and there was no bleed in the mics or anything, and so we used ‘em on the record. So Jimmy actually sings on the record. All of his drum fills are intact, it feels like Jimmy playing. So it feels like our last record with Jimmy, pretty much.”
More information concludes the official release date for “Nightmare” will be July 27th and was produced by Mike Elizondo whose also produced Dr Dre & Eminem.

I loved his vocals on the self titled album and I’m sure he will sound great on Nightmare. That line “I hope you’ll find your own way when I’m not with you.” which is apparently one of the last things The Rev ever recorded sounds like it would be an amazing way to end the album… the last album with Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan :[

that’s the producers wikipedia. He has done mostly rap albums and a few pop albums. It’s not that big of a deal, but it does worry me.

Amazing producer one of the best. He’s got metallica, slayer, mars Volta, jay z, among a few off the top of my head…dr dre and eminem both had pretty well produced records even though j don’t really care for thier style. This makes me more excited

I’m really getting tired of hearing about everyone crying about the rev’s untimely death. It sucks a lot and I can understand crying when you hear the album maybe, but crying about hearing news about him is a little bit much. It’s been almost 5 months, it’s time to get a hold of your emotions and channel it into something good. Don’t dwell on his death, but celebrate his life! He was a great and talented musician. I’m sure jimmy himself wouldn’t want people crying about him. again, Im not saying this to be mean in a anyway, so don’t take it that way.

If a7x is ready to move on, we should too.. Im seeing them in august and im certain i will cry when they come on but not because of the rev not being there…but because theyve been my favorite band since late 2007 and this will be my first time seeing them !

I think the foREVer bit is fine as long as it’s on a post that is about the rev like this one. When it’s on other posts that have nothing to do with him in particular, then it’s really annoying.

I doubt these people are actually crying. It’s more like a figure of speech for them, which is silly. And this is what happens when a large part of your fan base are teenage females. Sure, I might tear up when I hear his voice on record, but all of this “crying” based on a website post is feeling very fake and forced.

Everytime I take a shot, I say “to the rev!!!” That’s a way better way to go about the situation, if your of age of course! :)

I was devistated when i read thier post about him dying.. and i did cry.. but i havnt cried til now.. because he wouldnt want us to sulk and be all depressed.. he would want us to go and live our lives. Jimmy touched peoples hearts..he was crazy, and funny..and much more. it’s sad that he died.. but we shouldnt be on here fighting about the ways different people show thier emotions.
