Here are some of the notable things I jotted down while listening to the interview on 89X that Zacky Vengeance did with Jay Hudson. You can listen to the interview below.
- On (Album Mixer) Andy Wallace: “He’s incredible.”
- On (Producer) Mike Elizondo: Mike spoke of the band, “I absolutely love Avenged Sevenfold. It would be a dream and honor to work on an album like this.”
- “He truly understood how brilliant Jimmy was. He became our friend. He got to see where it was going, all Jimmys input, he had to live the nightmare with us and through it.”- On Mike Portnoy: “Came in with the utmost respect, generous human being. Mike was a huge fan of Jimmy.
- On Avenged Sevenfold: “We only do business with people that are passionate about what we do, because we’re so passionate. We live and breathe what we do.”
- On The New Album “Nightmare”: “I truly feel in my heart that it will go down in rock, metal, history as an album that’ll never be duplicated. I truly feel this is the Avenged Sevenfold album that cannot be duplicated. No one will be able to do what we did on it.”
- “Im very proud of all of us and can’t wait for fans to hear it.”
- “Jimmy was really excited about his drumming on this album.”- On The Song “Fiction” (working title “Death”) Written By Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan” “Jimmy wrote ‘Death’ on Christmas Eve. He hummed the entire melody and only left three lines of lyrics. It’s a musical masterpiece. It will make millions of people in the whole world cry”
- On Avenged Sevenfold Fans: “Our fans are part of the family, it’s pretty incredible.

I think “Fiction” was the masterpiece Jimmy spoke ok, and I cant wait to hear it!! Even if I do cry from hearing the album, its a healing process for myself as well as other fans, and A7X… Im so proud of you guys!!!

I agree with everyone else, Kim. I was scared to listen to the interview, but Zacky sounded rather upbeat and in good spirits to me. He even laughed a bit toward the end when they were talking about coming to Detroit on Uproar. Again, its just how he talks.

Do a good job, Zacky, Syn, Jhonny, Shadows (and Portnoy, of course), it’s the only thing I swear. This MUST be your greatesr fucking job of your entire life. I love Avenged Sevenfold, love all you guys, and miss Jimmy so much. It must be hard for you, cause it’s hard for me (and I haven’t lived 14 years of my life with Jimmy) so just convert all the sadness in good fucking music.
Can’t wait for the new álbum. I want it to come, but I think that when it comes, I’ll never see a Rev work again. It’s pretty hard :T

RIP Jimmy we love you. & guys the album is going to be amazing i cannot wait!
