Chris Epting gave you guys a chance to win his newest book entitled “Hello, It’s Me: Dispatches From A Pop Culture Junk” which features an essay on Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, also the longest essay in the book. He was so blown away by your comments he received on the first/best concert memory post that he wrote a little piece on it. You can read the entire thing here. Oh and, an Avenged Sevenfold piece won the contest.
First of all, we picked a winner in the signed book giveaway. All of your “first concert” experience comments were wonderful, it was a totally random pick and the winner is someone who described what it was like to see the band Avenged Sevenfold.
Now, there were many comments about the band, so odds were high I’d pick one of those reviews. However, it also seemed fitting.

Comment by Anonymous June 25, 2010 @ 7:39 pmNo kidding. That was one of the strangest postings on DBN I’ve ever seen. lol
Comment by Brady June 26, 2010 @ 6:44 amWell, I don’t know about other people, but I thought it was because Somewhere Over The Rainbow is kind of a sad, wistful song, and the way that they did it in that video was odd and unconventional, like Jimmy. So that’s what did it for me. :P
Comment by Sarah June 26, 2010 @ 8:52 amWho won D:
