Avenged Sevenfold debuted their brand new production last night in Springfield, IL and from what Deathbat News reader Mike P has to say “they weren’t kidding when they said parents would hate it.” The set-list stayed the same as it is here. Spoilers from last night’s show as well as videos have been put under a cut for those who would rather not it know, if you would then just click “MORE”. He also sent in a picture of Zacky Vengeance’s new guitar pick that he caught at the show.
The whole theme is like a grave yard, with skulls and skeletons everywhere. There was a backdrop of a house in the back, could have been a haunted house or maybe the hospital from the music video for nightmare. Creepy graveyard gates as well. Lots of pyro, and I mean lots of it. The first ten seconds of the show is what really sets the mood, but i won’t ruin it. Parents will love those first ten seconds though.

I was there! It was amazing! And it was a real person not a dummy. You could see him on the thing up above the stage putting the rope around his neck. Well, I could. Maybe other people couldn’t, it was pretty dark lol. I was on the seats on the left so that I could see them putting the stage together because they had a black hanging thing up so the people in front of the stage couldn’t see. It was really cool.

I got to meet Johnny and Mike Portnoy, and Johnny joked about having to be extra careful around the fire :) Dan gave me Zacky’s pick, too. :) Can’t wait for Uproar in Chicago!
