The Dead Hub has posted a small review as well as some great photos of Avenged Sevenfold’s set at the Chicago, IL stop of the Rockstar Uproar. You can check them all out here and read what they had to say about Avenged Sevenfold below:

Avenged Sevenfold, aka A7X, could have very well headlined UPROAR without Disturbed on the bill. The crowd was flooded with A7X fans. Yesterday I learned that A7X fans are the craziest, loyal, friendliest fans in the world. I was walking around UPROAR most of the day with a huge A7X fan, (think pink hair and the wicked furry leg warmers) and if I said her name many of you in the Midwest would know her. Actually, I joked with her that she should charge for photos because so many people came up to ask for a photo with her. She much obliged to every photo and said “never” would she charge! So what I took away from yesterday was that it really doesn’t matter what I think of the band and all of you are a bunch of crazy mother fuckers! Yet your love, loyalty, and community would make other bands envious, and it was the coolest expression of support I’ve seen for a single band in a very long time.

I was at the show. A7X should be the headliner. I like Disturbed but they were somewhat anti-climactic after Avenged blew our heads off with an amazing performance. We left in the middle of Disturbed…..sorry David!! I will go to an Avenged Sevenfold show anytime they are remotely close to Detroit. Rock On!!

Comment by Mike W

I did they same and tottally agree. Avenged deserved the extra time that disturbed had. I like disturbed but avenged sevenfold are just a better band live.

Comment by J7X88

lol i left in the middle of disturbed too!

Comment by Kaylee

jeez guys i would never leave in the middle of a show (unless it was like, you know someone who was bad) i mean you paid the money might as well stick through it, but anyway i cant wait for stone sour avenged and disturbed, i love them all but of course avenged is better

I saw the person he’s talking about walking around C: Disturbed was pretty lame, just saying.

Glad I could do my part!

Avenged in Chicago last night was the single-greatest show I’ve ever seen. I looked over at my friend and asked “How the hell do you even top that?”… we both had no answer (and Disturbed didn’t provide one).

Before Avenged came on stage, I had talked with most of the people around me just to see what band they had come to see the most. Nearly all said Disturbed, Disturbed being from Chicago and all. However, after Avenged played pretty much everyone was uproarious and demanded more (“one more song! one more song!” was the chant). After Disturbed had given a decent performance, still, everyone around me was blown away by Shadow’s screams, Synyster’s solos, etc. A flawless performance which riled up a packed crowd all the way back to the fence atop the lawn.

The one moment I’ll never forget, however, was when So Far Away began. The portrait of the Rev embracing the other members backdropped the entire stage, and nearly every lighter and cellphone was raised in the air. Being in the 7th row and looking behind me at thousands of lights in the dark was truly reminiscent of how the Rev will never die in the hearts and souls of true Avenged Sevenfold fans, and his legacy will always live on.

Amen to that man. I saw A7X in Wallingford, Connecticut on july 30th. It was there 3rd show back and still kicked ass. Now they have new production and added a few minor stuff.. i just can’t wait to see them again in Saratoga , NY on august 28th. Its gonna be a well worth four hour drive. And btw… I saw disturbed’s videos of the concert and the singer of disturbed didn’t impress me at all as well as the band’s concert production. such a down grade from watching avenged sevenfold to disturbed. It should be the other way around.and EVERYONE knows that.

I totally agree, during So Far Away when I turned around it looked like the view out of an airplane window at night flying over a city. There were so many lights. <3 RIP Rev

Comment by Bianka

My wife took a video of all the lights. Deathbatnews, would u post it if I sent it to you? I have a vid of nightmare and buried alive too. Also some pics.

Even though I’m a die hard proach fan, I completely agree, the A7X show in Tinley Park was the GREATEST live show I’ve ever seen and I’ve been to a LOT of concerts. I was tearing up when So Far Away started, and the Rev’s picture went up, I am so glad the the Rev’s spirit will never die in the hearts of true A7X fans.
Rock in Peace Rev

I screamed so loud when the back drop came down… I was in tears. The pain in Matts voice when he was speaking about Jimmy broke me completely. I was one of the first people to break that silence in Colorado. I threw my phone into the air in my fist and screamed REV! as loud as I could. Everyone joined in after. It was humbling to see the entire venue light up when I turned to see. ( I was in the pit against the baricade, center stage.) -Like I said in my post… my grandma passed a month before Jimmy and the lyric hit me harder than it did when I baught the album-
Rock in peace Rev.

Are they talking about Yoyo Suicide? Idk, I just saw the pink hair part and figured it was her. Didn’t know she was so well known though, lol.

I attended the concert in Colorado and seen Pink leg warmer girl ^^ Lol thats what I am going to call her. Anyway. We drove up from New Mexico specificaly to see Avenged… my friend and I were supposed to see them the last time they were in NM but … we decided there would be other concerts… I wish I would have known it would have been the last time I would ever see the Rev play. Anyway… my first big concert and It was amzaing! When they dropped the Rev backdrop… it sort of all hit me way to fast and way to hard and I sobbed through the entirity of So Far Away… and even after that. ( My grandma passed to cancer a month before Rev passed so it was all way to close to home for me). I had to get out of the pit after they went off stage because I was on the verge of emotional breakdown. I didn’t see Disturbed ( though I love the band) … I just needed to be away from everyone and everything to think and let my mind catch up to everything… it will always be Fiction in my mind… ( Repped by my tat on my site) An amazing experience… and amazing people. Fans saw me leaving with tears on my face and many of them put a hand of support on my shoulder or asked if I was alright… a few even had tears in their eyes as well. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY. And What a wild crazy fucked up Family we are. I love you all!
