He lived every day, he lived it with such a passion and he clearly enjoyed his life. His life was too short but he had a great one. A family that loved him, friends who were there by his side whenever he needed them, a girl in which he found real love and a band with a family of fans any band could only wish for.
I think we all should do the same and remember the amazing and inspiring person that he was and still is to so many of us.

I cannot begin to describe to you how much of an impact Jimmy has had on my life. The products he has created are and always will be my most favorite compositions of all time. I have played the piano my whole life and have heard pretty much every genre you can imagine, and, out of every musician to have ever walked this earth, Jimmy is hands down my favorite.
While I never had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy in person, I feel that I and many other members of the Avenged Sevenfold family are closer to him through his music than we are even with members of our own families. Music these days is often all about one thing; a band only writes songs about death or destruction or partying. Jimmy and Avenged Sevenfold are different. He and the band captured life in their music. If you are experiencing an emotion, there’s a Jimmy song to match it. In his tragically short life, Jimmy expressed through music what it means to be human. That is an accomplishment a vast majority of other musicians could NEVER hope to achieve.

We all miss him, you guys are family, and the fans are as well, he means a lot to everyone. He was able to do what many people only dream of doing (myself included). Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to write that to us, it really means a lot and thank you for giving us such a wonderful person to look up to and be inspired by.
Jimmy truly was a remarkable human being and from the first time I heard Avenged Sevenfold, I loved everything about their personalities. Jimmy in particular took me back a little, you just couldn’t tell what crazy thing he was going to do next but that is the exact reason why we loved (and continue to love) him. He was different, but in the best way possible and he embraced it with everything he had.
I never got the chance to meet Jimmy or see him play live, but I didn’t need to. His infectious soul spread throughout the A7X FAMILY and many felt they knew him, including myself.
Your son’s music helped each and every one of us, whatever our situation or emotions were – there had been a song to fix it. So thank you once again, for bringing him into this world and giving us one of the best musicians to have ever walked on this Earth.
Yesterday was a day of celebration for many of us and I know we were all thinking of your family.
Such a beautiful soul shall never be forgotten. Jimmy will be loved and remembered by thousands all over the world until the end of time.

Last night I was listening to Pinkly Smooth and I remembered that The Rev’s b-day is in February and so I went to go look it up and it turns out that it was the day before it!
Jimmy was a musical genious. From his amazing, memorable, crazy awesome drumming to his limitless songwriting. His voice was very powerful yet very beautiful and in every video he seems to be keeping the laughs going. The Rev and all of a7x have been a huge part of my life and I can’t believe a part of it has had to leave. Happy Birthday my favorite musician ever, thank you for sharing your music and talent with all of us.

I’ve always thought of myself as being made of stone, but i’ll admit i’ve shed a tear listening to fiction on more than one occcasion and today was no exception. You were a true inspiration to so many people and, undoubtedly, within the next 5-10 years we will see a lot of your drumming techniques and style features being used by younger bands due to how much you have inspired them.

I do not even pretend to know what you as his mother, and the rest of his family (his bandmates included) must be feeling. But, I know I speak for all of Jimmy’s fans when I say that I think of him and miss him everyday. I had the honor of knowing Jimmy many years ago, and even in the brief amount of time that I knew him, I knew that he was a good boy and he was going to grow up to do amazing things.
