I’m going tonight! I’ll let ya know if it’s correct. :)
Comment by joelle April 23, 2011 @ 2:35 amThank you!
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 2:35 amhere before ppl start complaining about what is and isnt on the set list. cant wait to see fiction and save me.
Comment by Jamie April 23, 2011 @ 2:35 amSo glad you said this when you did! I would watch them perform anything, anytime! I was lucky enough to see them on the NAC tour, Fiction was AMAZING. Save Me is hands down one of my favorites. Unfortunately, no stops are even remotely close to me this time. Irregardless of the set list, I’m sure it will be an awesome show! :D
Comment by Rachel R April 23, 2011 @ 5:01 pmThey should really play Seize The Day as another tribute song for Jimmy
Comment by Brooke April 23, 2011 @ 2:35 amYes the really should play Seize The Day. It disappoints me that they’re not but oh well…
Comment by Taylor June 14, 2011 @ 8:18 pmI kinda wish they would extend their set list and put in some older songs, And All Things Will End, I Won’t See You Tonight, To End The Rapture, Darkness Surrounding.
Comment by MeowCat April 23, 2011 @ 2:37 amI second that! But I really want them to play Natural Born Killer!
Comment by Carol April 23, 2011 @ 3:29 amThats what i say everyday!! That song is the shit!!
Comment by JRUSS April 23, 2011 @ 10:27 amsome how i doubt those songs will ever be played live agin
Comment by nathan April 23, 2011 @ 3:29 amI agree w/ you the older songs are just as great as the new ones. And the setlist is almost the same as Nightmare After Christmas.
Comment by maddz April 23, 2011 @ 5:58 amAgreed… I so want to see Chapter Four, Second Heartbeat, I Won’t See You Tonight, Clairvoyant Disease and A Little Piece Of Heaven… But I also want to see the new songs!!! :P
Comment by Rachel April 23, 2011 @ 7:34 amI heart Second Heartbeat and Chapter Four! I hope to hear these 2 songs live again. Though, the band never comes to the city I live…
Comment by Carol April 23, 2011 @ 7:37 amThey only came to my country once and are coming this year for the second time! :D I really wanted to see those, they’re some of my favourite A7X songs!
Comment by Rachel April 23, 2011 @ 9:21 amGood for you Rachel! I’m sure you’re gonna have a blast seeing them! When the band hits South East Asia, they always miss out my city :( I hope they will come this time when they come to Asia!
Comment by Carol April 23, 2011 @ 7:20 pmThanks! And I hope they play in your country soon! Every Avenged Sevenfold fan deserves to see them once! :P
Comment by Rachel April 25, 2011 @ 5:54 amDon’t forget Lips of deciet!! I’m so going to the 5/6 show!! :D
Comment by ARTY7X (Alex Artis) April 23, 2011 @ 2:02 pmwhat happened almost easy being left off :(
Comment by nathan April 23, 2011 @ 2:38 amalmost easy hasnt been on a proper tour set list since their uso tour
Comment by Jo April 23, 2011 @ 2:43 amwell they played it once on the NAC tour….but was hoping since its wasn’t actually on the setlist last tour they might include it on this tour….fingers crossed it makes a come back
Comment by nathan April 23, 2011 @ 3:28 amThey usually switch like 1 song or add 1 at shows. But that’s usually after they’re like a few shows in. I hope they play it too on this tour and I hope they play at least 1 old song! :)
Comment by Maddz April 23, 2011 @ 8:38 amthe reason they added almost easy was because they felt bad about not being able to use their pyro at that show, so they made up for it with almost easy.
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 11:29 amThey played it in Las Vegas, but I think they decided to stop playing that.
Comment by Gabby7X April 23, 2011 @ 2:15 pmFiction and Save Me as the encore?! Holy crap I hope they do that at Download.
Comment by EmilyVengeance April 23, 2011 @ 2:39 amSAMMEE man….I haven’t had a chance to see either of those live O.o
Comment by Angst April 23, 2011 @ 6:27 amIs gates gonna use the $yn $pecial tonight…?
Comment by Syn Kim April 23, 2011 @ 3:04 amhe is using it during some songs this tour, thats what schecter had said anyways
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 11:30 amCannot wait for the show tonight!!
Comment by Hannah April 23, 2011 @ 3:18 amEnjoy the show :)
Comment by Carol April 23, 2011 @ 6:52 amSeems they’re playing 90% of “Nightmare then” odd they’re not using much of the old stuff !
Comment by sarra April 23, 2011 @ 3:42 amWhy is it odd? Bands tour for the sole purpose of promoting their most current album, so it only makes sense that they would try to pack as much Nightmare into it as possible.
Comment by Zack April 23, 2011 @ 6:59 amThey did almost easy at the joint stone sour tour last year they should do little peace of heaven again
Comment by sarra April 23, 2011 @ 3:44 amNice! Goin to the Cape Girardeau, MO show on Monday.
Comment by Brady April 23, 2011 @ 4:05 amMe too! I can’t wait!
Comment by JaCaria April 23, 2011 @ 8:17 pmDo you think they’ll do anything special with their setlist when they play at Rock on the Range?
Comment by Steven April 23, 2011 @ 4:13 amjust 11 songs!? they know its their headlining show right? wow i really hope they change it
Comment by gab April 23, 2011 @ 5:21 amkeep in mind that save me is 11 minutes long so that alone is like 2 good length songs, unholy confessions with the extra pit riff is probably 7 minutes…their 11 song set is like 90 minutes lol.
Comment by Anonymous April 23, 2011 @ 6:22 ammore like 75 minutes
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 7:31 amwith crowd interaction its almost 90
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 11:32 amyeah whatever but that doesnt explain, for example, they playing 13 songs in the south american tour, while in the welcome to the family one with all that promotion they play 11..
Comment by gabriel April 23, 2011 @ 10:45 amSave Me lasts for, like, 12 minutes! That’s two good length song from them, you know!
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 11:05 ambecause in south america there are different timing things..i have a friend from brazil that tells me about how they stay out until like 3 or 4 AM daily and its normal so shows lasting longer are fine. shows lasting past midnight and crap wouldnt fly here as well, and they also have 2 other bands playing long sets on this tour.
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 11:32 amIm brazilian and their show here lasted 1hour and a half.. really short set.
Comment by gabriel April 23, 2011 @ 12:31 pmThey’re all pretty long songs aside from Welcome to the Family. The total amount of time they’ll spend playing those 11 songs is equal to about 15-16 songs from some other bands.
Comment by Zack April 23, 2011 @ 7:00 amNo Bat Country but Save Me Is gonna be sick!!! Can’t wait 4/29
Comment by ChrisH April 23, 2011 @ 5:29 amWhen is the guys going to be like Metallica and have a different set every night? :) They now have a large enough catalogue to have a few rotating spots in the setlist.
Comment by Mike April 23, 2011 @ 6:19 amDon’t forget that they’re not with Jimmy anymore… I doubt Arin knows all the old songs…
Comment by Rachel April 23, 2011 @ 7:35 amWell if he doesn’t know all the songs what is he doing with a7x
Comment by Juan G April 23, 2011 @ 11:09 amHe’s still acting as a touring member of A7X; he’s not an official member yet, so it’s natural for him not to know all the songs unless if he was actually in the band. I can bet you that not even Mike Portnoy knows some of A7X’s older songs.
Comment by Gabby7X April 23, 2011 @ 2:20 pmeh… I really want to know that I’m gonna hear certain songs.. But I wouldn’t mind one or two of them that they rotate out
Comment by ry1749 April 23, 2011 @ 7:49 amI’m not one to complain but I have seen them 3 times in the last year. (Uproar, Nightmare After Christmas, and now Welcome to the Family). The only songs they have swapped out are like 2 each time. Really wish they would play something off WTF besides Unholy.
Comment by nick April 23, 2011 @ 6:28 amI agree.
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 7:42 amI agree as well. They should play Second Heartbeat and IWSYT pt 1.
Comment by Gabby7X April 23, 2011 @ 2:21 pmSpent 100$ a ticket this go around and they’re playing even less songs? Come on sevenfold.
Comment by jack April 23, 2011 @ 6:36 amno one made u spend $100 on a ticket u did it yourself knowing there was a chance the set list wouldnt change much if it all.
Comment by gabe April 23, 2011 @ 7:09 amhmmm $100 a ticket vs the possibility of never seeing them again… which is worse?
Comment by ry1749 April 23, 2011 @ 7:50 amGood point!
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 11:03 amI’m honestly disappointed with this setlist. They can play this setlist plus Bat Country and A Little Piece of Heaven in Argentina and Chile, but not the US? I feel let down. I’m paying 50$ for a ticket and my best friend payed 115$ for the VIP packages. I feel like we’re not getting our money’s worth. A Headlining setlist should be 2 hours, not 75 minutes. I don’t wanna sound ungrateful, I just feel like the US isn’t getting treated as fairly as countries that don’t even speak English.
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 6:54 amfeel like ur not getting ur moneys worth? then don’t go. easy as that.
ps. u do sound ungrateful. countrys that dont speak english don’t get to see them on tour NEARLY as much as the US
Comment by gabe April 23, 2011 @ 7:08 amWell here have been their setlists in the US from the past year:
Uproar
Nightmare After Christmas
Welcome To The Family
I saw their first show on NAC tour, and going on this tour, the only two songs I haven’t seen yet are Beast and the Harlot and Save Me. They’ve had extremely similar setlists all year, if they’ve been similar, the least they could do is extend just a little bit.
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 7:21 amand quoting M. Shadows from the Live in the LBC DVD, “I’m glad to be playing a show in the greatest God damn country in the world, the United States of America.” Why doesn’t he SHOW us what he means by this.
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 7:26 amim pretty sure they show it by touring so much? this is the third time theyve been on tour in the us within a years time frame. no one is forcing you to attend every show, especially if youll complain that the set lists are all nearly the same. i saw them on uproar, didn’t get to see them on nac cause it was such a small tour, and now i get new songs on the wttf tour. im happy. i feel bad for dbn when she makes these posts and for the band reading this stuff, its always the same thing over and over
Comment by gabe April 23, 2011 @ 7:41 amYou know what, yeah I was acting ungrateful. People in other countries rarely get to see their favorite bands from the US. I just got my hopes up because of what they played in South America. I’m gonna have an amazing time no matter what, I’m just jealous and I shouldn’t have such high expectations.
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 9:46 amkeep in mind every time they play a different song Portnoy or Ilejay would have to learn it cold in a limited amount of time. The long break they had was probably spent on getting save me together as well as ALPOH when they played it. I’m guessing they will play a longer set list but I’m perfectly happy with whatever I’m going to hear, considering the circumstances. And I paid just under $250 total in tickets.
Comment by ry1749 April 23, 2011 @ 7:55 amWell, I believe they will play A Little Piece of Heaven, just like they did in the last part of the South American tour.
And maybe, finally, we’ll see Natural Born Killer live.
Comment by OddY April 23, 2011 @ 7:02 amwouldn’t count on the first part, at all
Comment by hayley April 23, 2011 @ 7:06 amNo ALPoH :(
Comment by Will April 23, 2011 @ 7:20 amHonestly, I’m pretty happy with the setlist. :) it’s gonna make me so happy that I won’t contain myself.
And where can I get VIP stuff for Lubbock, Tx?!
Comment by Jackie April 23, 2011 @ 7:26 amApparently the VIP stuff you pick up at will call at the venue you’re going to.
Comment by Shane Harris April 23, 2011 @ 7:46 amJackie – When you purchased your VIP package your name was added to a special VIP guest list which will be available at the show. This will get you into the show earlier than those that didn’t purchase it. As far as the extras – I was told by the company that they’ll be shipped out to you around the date of your show.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 7:52 amI wish they’d make it longer… Like a 2 hours show… With ALPOH, Bat Country, Second Heartbeat and Seize The Day added.
Comment by Rachel April 23, 2011 @ 7:38 amyesss I would love that so much. How about they just play through every one of their albums DITR included xD
Comment by ry1749 April 23, 2011 @ 7:45 amThen I would have felt sorry for all of them! x)
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 9:06 amAlso you have to take into consideration how shadows voice would feel after 2 hrs of singing/screaming, AND doing that with practically only 1 day off rest for every 2 shows. I think he’s extremely talented but that is a hard task. I am satisfied with this setlist, it misses a few good songs, but what can you do right?
Comment by Beansis6661 April 23, 2011 @ 9:12 pmYeah, I know… I’m satisfied with the setlist as well, but since they don’t come to my country often I was just a bit dissapointed at first. I was hoping to hear a bigger setlist with more and different songs of the previous tours… But they finally decided to come back here, I’m happy with just the fact that I will finally see them!!!
Comment by Rachel April 25, 2011 @ 6:03 amVery Good the SetList
Comment by Lucas April 23, 2011 @ 7:43 amYou think they’ll play there full set-list at Carolina Rebellion? Since it is a festival and I think there the last band, but im not 100% sure
Comment by Jeremy April 23, 2011 @ 7:44 amI’m not sure if they would play the entire set list. I’m not sure if their allotted time to play would allow it or what CR’s restrictions are as far as encores. If they don’t allow them they could probably take off a song or two to add Save Me.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 7:48 amthanks for the helpful info! Im sure they’ll have something good worked out, alot of people wanna see save me and fiction…
Comment by Jeremy April 23, 2011 @ 7:56 amAwesome! Cant wait to see Fiction and Save Me.
Comment by jon April 23, 2011 @ 7:44 amCool set list.
Comment by dean April 23, 2011 @ 7:45 amI hope they play all the songs from Nightmare during this album cycle. M Shadows said he wanted to. The setlist looks so short but then again Save Me is over 11 minutes long! To everyone who’s attending this tour: have fun!
Comment by Bobbi April 23, 2011 @ 8:03 amI thought it would be a little longer….but oh well as long as I get to see them I don’t care
Comment by Ka7x April 23, 2011 @ 8:15 amWell Im from Arkansas and last year the main headliner Rob Zombie got to play a 2 hour set so Avenged might get to play more songs if its a 2 hour set. But Im really pissed almost in tears that I don tget to go this year and see Avenged my favorite band. Ive never seen them live and my mom wouldnt let me go because its Easter weekend and all my friends are gettin to go it sucks.
Comment by VINCE April 23, 2011 @ 8:16 amAh man that really sucks :(
Comment by Angst April 23, 2011 @ 10:45 amReading through the comments all you’re now doing is moaning make the most of it as one day they may say enough is enough we’re ending the band ! I’ll get to see them at rockfest, rock am ring and download all AAA as I’m working those festivals
Comment by SJ April 23, 2011 @ 2:15 pmAlso realize they are touring with some VERY BIG BANDS. Three Days Grace CONSTANTLY headline festivals and their own tours, and Bullet for my Valentine is pretty big too. Sevendust as well. Each band on this tour can headline their own tour. Two or three years ago, they are playing second fiddle on this tour. I see this more like the Spring 08 tour when I saw them in Topeka. It was them, Buckcherry, Rev Theory, and Papa Roach. They all performed minus Rev Theory, almost the same amount of time, but it got extended by a song or two by each band. I’m just happy I’m seeing Save Me, my favorite song, apart from Seize the Day, and I am pumped!
Comment by Tom April 23, 2011 @ 8:53 amVery similar to the Uproar setlist, except they had Almost Easy at the end and no encore.
Comment by Caulin April 23, 2011 @ 8:59 amI want to see the again Dx
Will the setlist be the same at “Bergen Calling 2011″? I’m so excited since there is a 50/50% chance that I can go! =D
Well, if I can’t go, I’m gonna get pissed… For real! ;(
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 9:09 amI honestly have no idea.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 9:19 amOkay, thanks anyways :
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 10:44 amOk guys, the next song they do add wich do you think it’ll be?? Natural born killer? Victim? Tonight the world dies?
Comment by Robert Navarro April 23, 2011 @ 9:11 amHonestly, Victim would be an awful song live.
Comment by Mike April 23, 2011 @ 1:07 pmnatural born killer………i really hope they add a little peice of heaven back
Comment by Anonymous April 23, 2011 @ 9:27 amWell I know everyone who is complaining about the setlist is being called selfish. I’m not mad because the setlists are always similar. It sort of bothers me that Nightmare after christmas had such a great setlist and this one is basically just the uproar one repackaged with save me and fiction
Comment by Will April 23, 2011 @ 9:42 amI’m a die hard fan, and we are all fortunate they continue touring but they really do need to change up the setlist. I’ve seen them 4 times in the last year ,all being different tours, and its been the same songs over and over again. I’m not complaining because the show is still the most amazing thing ever but it is time to change it up. Play chapter four, second heartbeat, trashed and scattered..or even brompton cocktail..ya know?
Comment by paul from ct April 23, 2011 @ 9:52 amthe reason they dont is because its still in support of the same album, and people that arent die hard fans will give them hell if bat country and unholy dont make the list.
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 12:32 pmYea I remember at uproar these kids who went just cause “it was the cool thing to do” were all pissed cause they didnt play bat country.
Comment by Dianna April 24, 2011 @ 6:53 amI can’t wait to see them again!!!
Comment by EmilyA7X April 23, 2011 @ 10:13 amI don’t care what songs they have played or haven’t as long as I get to see them and have a great time (:
I love a7x seen them five time, last time at golden gods. I would love to see the setlist change atleast a bit! Maybe second hertabeat, brompton cocktail and all things will end. Does anyone agree?
Comment by Juan G April 23, 2011 @ 10:13 amDo you think the welcome to the family setlist will apply to Carolina rebellion?
Comment by Deen April 23, 2011 @ 10:20 amProbably.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 10:32 amOne thing Ive allways noticed about A7x they allways stick with the same setlist its pretty annoying. Id love to hear Gunslinger live again or hell Brompton Cocktail would be pretty sweet to. Now I undersatnd them not playing anything off of sounding the seventh trumpet. But it seems like they allways forget they released Waking The Fallen the greatest Sevenfold record ever.
Comment by Joe7x April 23, 2011 @ 10:22 ami think u seem to forget waking the fallen was released in 2003 and it’s 2011. shoulda saw them tour back then.
Comment by gabe April 23, 2011 @ 10:33 amIt doesn’t matter if it’s 2011 or not. They should still play atleast 2 or 3 songs off Waking The Fallen. The problem with Avenged Sevenfold is that they think their audience is seeing them for the first time so they want to play the most famous songs they have. Ever notice before every show Matt always asks “how many people first time seeing Avenged Sevenfold”?. They need to know that they have great fans and most of us have seen them even more than one time. I have seen them 4 times ..and by the end of May i will have seen them 6 times. Change up the setlist!
Comment by Paul from CT April 23, 2011 @ 11:07 amexcept it has EVERYTHING to do with it being 2011. like i said above if you wanted to see more shit off of waking the fallen you should have seen them when they were touring in support of that WAKING THE FALLEN, not NIGHTMARE. it’s not that hard to comprehend. its actually pretty goddamn simple – DONT GO to the show if you dont want to see the same set list played.
Comment by gabe April 23, 2011 @ 11:39 ampaul that doesnt make any sense. if they played 3 off of WtF, three off of CoE, and three off of self titled, that leaves like 3 songs for nightmare. that would be ridiculous. and matt asks that to welcome the new fans into the family idiot.
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 12:31 pmI think they need one less support band and a solid 90 minute set.
Comment by D April 23, 2011 @ 10:41 amI agree!
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 10:46 amHey Avenged play fucking Natural Born Killer please!
Comment by Warnerve6661 April 23, 2011 @ 10:46 amcant wait for the Nashville show!!!
i really dont think we will see other songs from albums like City Of Evil or Waking The Fallen until next year.
Comment by Ron April 23, 2011 @ 10:59 ambut im pretty sure they will play different songs from Nightmare(Natural Born Killer maybe even Victim)
Hey DBN…is this just a guess of what the Welcome To The Family tour setlist will be? Or is this confirmed on a website
Comment by Paul from CT April 23, 2011 @ 11:09 amNo – this is what someone who attended the show last night said it was. However, they weren’t a reader so I’m waiting on a reader to confirm it which will happen tonight in Little Rock.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 11:36 amI was at the show last night. They played these BUT they also played Bat Country. I’m pretty sure that is the only one missing.
Comment by Robert April 23, 2011 @ 1:12 pmThanks Robert, I’ve added it.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 1:59 pmI went to the show on Chile after 3 years waiting, I wouldnt care if they played this there, I just enjoyed as much as I could and I’m very happy with that, you should stop complaining that much, you can go to 3 shows in the same tour, and all the non-american people can go, luckily, to one.
Comment by Frank April 23, 2011 @ 11:22 amDear people who keep complaining about the setlist,
SHUT THE FUCK UP. There are a few reasons why you shouldn’t be angry about it.
1. You’re lucky that they are touring at all
2. If you’re complaining about it, you’ve probably seen them before. Some people can’t afford to go once, or maybe A7X doesn’t go to their area/country.
3. They are touring in support of Nightmare. They are going to play songs off of Nightmare. There are only 11 songs on Nightmare, and out of the 3 they haven’t ever played, only one is a heavy song, so for them to play the other 2 they’d probably have to swap out So Far Away or Fiction otherwise you’d complain it isn’t a heavy enough show.
4. It’s one of your favorite bands, you shouldn’t get tired of hearing a song live like 3 times. That’s pretty pathetic.
5. Arin is amazing, but he can’t possibly learn 50 A7X songs to play live in like 4 months.
Thank you for your time, and please SHUT UP.
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 11:39 amThis.
Comment by Alyssa April 23, 2011 @ 11:56 amthis? lol
Comment by otis April 23, 2011 @ 12:28 pmNicely put. I can be greedy and hope for a return in August :p i missed them this tour
Comment by Nik April 23, 2011 @ 12:35 pmAll of this.
Comment by Sammy April 23, 2011 @ 12:39 pmlike^
Comment by iZacky April 23, 2011 @ 1:50 pmthankyou =)
Comment by ry1749 April 23, 2011 @ 2:00 pmBud..stop talking like you are a part of Avenged Sevenfold management like seriously. We fans are ALL fortunate they are touring …but you have to understand some people like me have been fans for EIGHT YEARS OR MORE and would like songs like second heartbeat, IWSYTP1, and Chapter four. We are all entitled to our opinion on what songs they should play live so stop acting like Mr. #1 Avenged Sevenfold fan and sit the fuck down.
Comment by Paul from CT April 23, 2011 @ 2:03 pmEveryone is sick of people bitching and whining about the setlist. For christ sake, just be happy that they are willing to play, and headline their own shows. Yes, we GET that there are people that have been fans of the band for 8 years or more. Not to sound like A7X’s “bitch” or anything, but they can’t cater to EVERYONE, including the ones that have been fans for many years. I have been a fan for 7 years. Do you see me complaining about the setlist? No. And I have seen the guys 4 times within the past 5 years.
Comment by Alyssa April 23, 2011 @ 2:04 pmWell said, thank you!
Comment by SS April 23, 2011 @ 2:28 pmeverything i was wanting to type
Comment by nathan April 23, 2011 @ 6:08 pmIf there was a like button for this post, I would have clicked on it.
Comment by Gabby7x April 23, 2011 @ 6:24 pmThis seems like an awesome set list! Can’t wait for the show! Only songs I think it’s missing is ALPOH and Seize The Day, but I’m happy. :D
Comment by Ash April 23, 2011 @ 12:04 pmAdd second hearbeat to that and thats perfection right there
Comment by Nik April 23, 2011 @ 12:33 pmWith those 3 songs added I’d die extremely happy! :P
Comment by Rachel April 24, 2011 @ 12:59 pmI’m happy with the setlist. Even though I think it would be awesome if they would play Natural Born Killer or 4 A.M, i’m content. It’d be nice to hear some old songs, i’m just happy I get to see them at all. And if anyone can let me know the Three Days Grace and Sevendust set lists, and who was on first, thanks. (:
Comment by Audrey April 23, 2011 @ 12:36 pm3DG setlist.
Comment by A7Xfan April 23, 2011 @ 2:40 pmthank you! (:
Comment by Audrey April 23, 2011 @ 3:07 pmI think the setlist is awesome! Keep in mind that, while Arin was a fan before he played with them, as someone else said, he can’t learn the whole catalog in this amount of time. *shakes head* I swear, these guys can’t do anything right the way some of you act.
I’ll be seeing them for the third time this May, and only because financially things worked in my favor. I’m glad to see any setlist and I won’t be complaining about this. You people need to happy up and be glad they kept going after we lost Jimmy.
Another point: WTF is eight years old. There are plenty of fans who like it, but most of us prefer their newer albums. WTF is okay, but you can tell they were young and just getting started. I’d rather they play more from S/T and Nightmare than more from WTF, but you don’t see me complaining, do you? Happy up, people!
Comment by Kel April 23, 2011 @ 1:00 pmi’m sorry, i know when you say WTF you mean Waking The Fallen, but everytime i see it my brain reads “What the fuck” haha
Comment by Megan T. April 23, 2011 @ 2:06 pmExactly!! Very well said. Thank you.
This set list was amazing. Just seeing them live is incredible.
Have an awesome time in May!
Comment by Angie April 23, 2011 @ 10:20 pmThe problem is not whats in the set list, the problem is the length. Yes, they should be playing more off earlier albums, but they shouldn’t be replacing stuff from nightmare FOR it. Bands twice their age are doing shows up to an hour longer. Why can’t they just throw the dog a bone. Just because their not touring for WTF or COE doesn’t mean they have to all but ignore their existence.
Comment by josh April 23, 2011 @ 1:07 pmI went last night, my ears are still fuzzy… Amazing (just hope the sound guy lowers the master bass sometimes it was so loud couldn’t hear Shadows but still amazing). Can’t wait to go see them in Grand Prairie
Comment by John "Vinny" April 23, 2011 @ 2:02 pmahh :( I would do anything to see them again <3 i'm so upset that i'm not going :'(
Comment by steph April 23, 2011 @ 2:05 pmEnough of the bickering or there won’t be future set-lists posts.
Comment by deathbatnews April 23, 2011 @ 2:05 pmHonestly it would be better if there wasent a setlist post.
Comment by Joe7x April 23, 2011 @ 4:35 pmLol it’s like babysitting kids ^.^
Comment by LindseyA7X April 24, 2011 @ 4:16 pmBut i do think posting the set list is good, b/c then if there’s any new songs i haven’t heard live before, i get pumped :)
Chill errbody!
Some people should STOP complaining about the setlist ’cause there are some people who never see them live yet so just enjoy it! :P
Comment by V4nn4ly April 23, 2011 @ 2:12 pmYou haven’t seen them live yet then… i dont even know what to say lol..you are missing out on life
Comment by Paul Donovan from CT April 23, 2011 @ 2:38 pmI haven’t seen them live either. They don’t come around where i live very often.
Comment by Megan T. April 23, 2011 @ 9:33 pmI have managed to survive on Youtube videos for now lol. Can’t wait till i get the chance to see them live for myself though!
Sweet set list!!! Can’t wait to see “Fiction” and “Save Me”!!!! =D
Comment by Alyssa E April 23, 2011 @ 2:12 pmi was second row at the concert last night in Bossier and IT WAS REALLY DAMN GOOD!
Yeah i wish they played some stuff from older albums but hey its whatever, they sound amazing live and any song they play is perfect. The drive from dallas was well worth it!
caught zacky’s pick, it adds to my collection of syn picks. :D
Comment by Neil April 23, 2011 @ 3:01 pmI’m gonna cry my eyes out on Save Me AND Fiction ;( Awesome setlist, tough =D
Comment by A7xM97 April 23, 2011 @ 3:03 pmawh i wished they squeezed in danger line! i wanted to hear that song sooooooooooo bad!! but im still pumpedd on the set list :D

Comment by Mike April 23, 2011 @ 5:22 pmUgh. Hate to complain, but switch it up dudes. I miss the CoE days when every show had a different set list…
Comment by Tom April 23, 2011 @ 6:35 pmyea i agree that the setlist could be switched up a bit but even when you hear the same song live 10 times, its a different experience and still awesome
Comment by Anonymous April 23, 2011 @ 7:19 pm80 minute setlist it is. Not bad.
Comment by Chandler Fyfe April 23, 2011 @ 8:28 pmNothing we haven’t seen b4 what ever happened to danger line btw?
Comment by Jon April 23, 2011 @ 8:35 pmI hope they switch out Almost Easy for something like Danger Line. or play Natural Born Killer.
Comment by Ryan April 23, 2011 @ 9:34 pmI missed out on my chance to see Avenged and most of my other favorite bands live at Rock Fest, so all these set-lists do is make me sad…
Comment by Nico April 23, 2011 @ 9:41 pmCoheed and Cambria is doing a 10 anniversary tour now with a 3 hour setlist. A7X neeeeds to do something like that in the future. That would be the best tour ever! No complaints here about the WTTF tour. This setlist is standard but still great!
Comment by Anonymous April 23, 2011 @ 9:53 pmThis is all right. I went last night (April 22, 2011)
Third time seeing them. I made a sign that says “foREVer” and Shads pointed and thanked me in the pit. <3 It was incredible.
Save Me and Fiction were by far the most amazing songs of every single time I've seen them. I couldn't have asked for a better show.
To all that's going or even thinking about going, you will have the BEST time of your life on this tour. Truly this was the best.
Ohh, and Welcome To The Family Arin Ilejay. He is amazing on drums. I'm so happy Avenged chose him. Great job, Arin. <3
Hope to see the guys, even, once again soon!! Great job last night.
foREVer — a7x4life — <3
Comment by Angie April 23, 2011 @ 10:16 pmIf we can all be honest with ourselves that would be best haha, the fact is that Avenged has too many good songs to satisfy everyones favorite. My personal favorite to hear live is Scream, but will I ever hear it live again. Not likely. or Seize the Day, or any of them. They just dont have the time. They could play only absolute hit songs and still have to cut some out, so be thankful you’re seeing them at all. Its not everyday that musical genius comes around and I think its really immature to be complaining that a band is too good.
Comment by cam s April 23, 2011 @ 10:21 pmAs for everyone who says they can’t afford it, I know where you’re coming from, but if you can somehow get the money together this memory will last a lifetime. I have spent my last dime on them more than once and they have truly changed my life and I would do it all over again.
Happy Easter
Thats a good point but i highly doubt that those songs will never be played again. Their only around 30 years old, you know? Their just getting popular. as time goes on they will have more time to play, and surely they will realize that they have so many songs, and they’ll switch it up frequently, like Metallica or Slash does. I’d be willing to bet that Scream or Seize the Day will be played again
Comment by Nik April 24, 2011 @ 7:49 ami hope they keep switching the setlist up not knowing what they’re going to play adds more exctiment!to me at least. almost easy is my 3rd fav song by avenged sevenfold hopefully they play it in san antonio
Comment by steven kraatz April 23, 2011 @ 10:45 pmIf they never play Natural Born Killer live im gonna be really dissapointed.
Comment by Zzz April 23, 2011 @ 11:01 pmor 4:00 AM or Lost it All, I dont think Victim or Tonight The World Dies would be that good of a live song, but we all seen how awesome Fiction turned out live
Comment by DRHA7X93 April 24, 2011 @ 8:42 amI actually think Tonight The World Dies would be awesome live…
Comment by Rachel April 24, 2011 @ 1:03 pmJust so you know, they’re probably not going to play 4:00 AM or Lost it All live… they’re B-sides.
Comment by Tom April 24, 2011 @ 9:57 pmAh, so they did play Bat Country. That’s very cool. And if the setlist stays like that (counting the spot where BatH and Almost Easy was as a random song each night) this will be an amazing set.
Maybe just add one more song. ;)
Comment by Mike April 24, 2011 @ 3:37 amYeah I hope they keep it as a rotating song slot
Comment by Steve April 24, 2011 @ 1:33 pmWilkes Barre on the 29th! So excited!
Comment by Matt Crain April 24, 2011 @ 6:03 amI wish they would’ve kept Danger Line :/
Comment by Juan April 24, 2011 @ 8:56 amdefinitelyyyyyyyyyyy.
Comment by (; April 25, 2011 @ 5:52 amI’ve seen Avenged pre-Nightmare and Post-Nightmare and the only complaint I have is neither time did they play seize the day or a little piece of Heaven…..but besides that i’m glad they’re playing Fiction and Save Me now, makes me wanna go see em again.
Comment by Terrance Phifer April 24, 2011 @ 10:12 amI was at their show in little rock last night and it was nothing short of fucking amazing. And i was skeptical about arin at first, but he played exactly how the rev would have play. They all did a good job, plus the way they came on stage starting with nightmare was cool. If you haven’t seen them, you need to see them sometime soon, you won’t regret it.
Comment by Chris April 24, 2011 @ 11:22 amI’d have to drive all the way from miami to orlando -__- BUT I WANNA GO!!!!

Pingback by Top Posts — WordPress.com April 24, 2011 @ 5:12 pmReally bummed I can’t go, I really wanted to see “Save Me” live. The only time they are close to me is on the weekdays and there is no way I would be able to make it with my schedule. :/ I could possibly go for Rock on the Range, but I’m not a festival person. Humid weather and large crowds are not for me.
Comment by Anonymous April 24, 2011 @ 8:12 pmHope they come around soon, I would looooove to see them again.
So I was at Edgefest in Little Rock on the 23rd and it was freaking phenomenal. The crowd was pumped the whole time. ABSOLUTELY (and I promise I’m being unbiased) the best set on the tour. Save Me was amazing. Definitely the best possible song they could end the setlist with. Everyone about halfway through Stone Sour’s setlist was yelling “Get off the stage!” and when they asked if the crowd was ready for another song like half of them yelled “NO!!” haha. Everyone was ready for some A7X! Definitely worth the drive from Memphis and hope that I get to make it to another show someday.
Comment by Lucas April 24, 2011 @ 11:38 pmi read some comments about wanting a different setlist every night, and i think that would be horrible because chevelle, 30 seconds to mars, 10 years, and anberlin do that and i hate it because i like to know what songs im going to hear, i hate when i see them play a song i love one night then i dont get it at my show, if a band is not going to sing something i like, i atleast want them to keep that consistent in a single tour
Comment by deen April 25, 2011 @ 5:32 amBut there’s no element of surprise or excitement in that.
Comment by Mike April 26, 2011 @ 5:26 pmi like to be prepared for shows, last friday 30 seconds to mars only did 9 songs and they were headlining, now when i see another show like 3 days later with 13 songs, i get kinda pissed and i dont want that to happen with avenged
Comment by deen April 27, 2011 @ 5:30 amI love the choice of songs on the set list, but also agree it could be longer. Not sure I saw this mentioned in this thread, but they probably made it shorter ’cause there’s three bands playing the show instead of two. I would have been happier with just one band opening (preferably BFMV) and more of A7X, but I still can’t wait to see ‘em in Albany this weekend!
Comment by Jim April 25, 2011 @ 10:36 amthey really should take out unholy confessions and put second heartbeat instead. im also questioning save me as the encore. its epic, sure, but a little piece oh heaven makes people go nuts, and is a great closer
Comment by PJ April 26, 2011 @ 5:54 amas much as i love save me, i thought the same thing at first. then i watched it on youtube, and it kicks the ass of every other song on their set. dont believe me now? just wait my friend (:
Comment by otis April 26, 2011 @ 12:56 pmlets face it, their not going to play anything off waking the fallen
Comment by kraftwerk April 26, 2011 @ 10:44 amUnholy Confessions would like to have an unholy meeting with you.
Comment by Mike April 26, 2011 @ 5:25 pmexcuse me. i meant besides unholy confessions. i just wish they would start playing chapter four again.
Comment by kraftwerk April 27, 2011 @ 1:01 amI don’t know if this setlist has been updated yet or not, but I was at the Cape Girardeau, MO show, and they played Almost Easy instead of Beast and the Harlot.
Comment by Brady April 26, 2011 @ 3:14 pmI was there too! It freaking rocked!
Comment by JaCaria April 26, 2011 @ 7:32 pmI’m going to the show on 4/29 so we shall see what we get! I’ll be sure to post!
Comment by MJ April 26, 2011 @ 8:28 pmHas anyone taken into thought of M Shadows and His voice? Any a7x fan would know that he can’t strain himself too much and now there basically playing 90 minute sets every night so why complain? Because for all we know if the set was longer they could have to cancel shows due to his voice and we all know that’s happened before
Comment by ax April 26, 2011 @ 9:15 pmOk, they have not played Beast & the Harlot since the first show. That is a pretty tough song, though. One of Jimmy’s hardest-to-copy beats.
