In a great interview with Rock Radio’s Tom Russell before hitting the mainstage at Download 2011 Avenged Sevenfold’s Synyster Gates speaks about playing Download Festival, Mike Portnoy, where “So Far Away” originally came from and much more. The two also take the time out to toast to Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.

Comment by Andrea Lam June 11, 2011 @ 4:03 pmThat was probably the most friendly and kind hearted interview ive seen from a7x ever…they really connected and Syn seemed TOO friendly, usually hes a bit quieter but when he went out of his way to get the bottle, it just seemed natural. He seems like the nicest guy. this was the best interview to date from A7x, no doubt! :)

wow ive never seen syn that friendly, and the look at the interviewer face when syn went out of his way to get the bottle was priceless, he looked so surprised, that was so nice to watch.. great interview.
