Comment by Jessica Medrano (@holyshitjessica) January 24, 2012 @ 4:59 pmWHOA! On the picture beside Grover where it shows the headstock the skull with top hat image isn’t there! That tripped me out for a sec. Schecter needs better lighting also, the fretboard looks rosewood and the Custom S looks like it has jizz coloured pimp stripes…Which would be appropriate ;)
Comment by Cheek January 24, 2012 @ 5:23 pmFucking Sweet! Its Rad! I want it….
Comment by Crystal January 24, 2012 @ 6:21 pmI like the black one the best.
Comment by Anne Stenslien January 24, 2012 @ 7:08 pmI really don’t get it why they make ‘m so expensive. A Synyster Gates Special (the only difference being Schecter tuners & w/o the pin stripes/inlays) costs the halve of what this costs.
Comment by Rayne January 25, 2012 @ 3:33 amIt’s not quite half the price but it is cheaper. The Grover tuners are much higher quality than then Schecter tuners. Also the custom features the SH-8 Custom Invader, while the Special has an SH-8 Invader. Each are voiced a little bit differently
Comment by Cheek January 25, 2012 @ 8:24 amTime to use knowledge ^_^ The differences in the Custom and Special are the tuners, the pickup pole pieces, and the special has an archtop. The tuners don’t matter because you have a floyd rose locking nut at the top on the fretboard, and the pickups are the same. The only difference is the pole pieces, which Syn has mettalic ones instead of the traditional black oxide caps. The metallic poles only increase sustain (barely). The big difference is the archtop, which really adds a punch to the tone. Not giving you shit, just rambling on because I have nothing better to do. Let’s see if Ms. DBN says hi to me :D that would make my night!

Comment by Alikz January 27, 2012 @ 3:20 amYeah it sounds good that’s for sure, but that’s an ugly guitar color sorry…
Comment by BuriedAlive7x January 25, 2012 @ 2:52 pmTrue, the Grover’s are better quality, but I’m not paying that much money because of Grovers. The SH-8 costs around 80 dollars, and looking closer to it, there’s not much custom about the Custom Invaders, besides the screws.
Comment by Rayne January 26, 2012 @ 3:51 amIt doens’t justify the fact that it costs almost half the price more, since they’re both signatures.
It’s all in the wiring of the pickups. My guess is that Syns Custom Invaders are wound more to provide a higher output than the regular invaders. They are definitely voiced to provide a different sound more suitable to his style. It’s not always cosmetic. and when you add up the grovers being about 30-40 dollars more than the Schecter and the price of a custom pickup being more around $140 the price doesn’t quite reach what is being advertised but that’s marketing. Including flashiness
Comment by Cheek January 26, 2012 @ 9:17 amIf it had a sustaniac then hell yeah. It’s great looking but colors shouldn’t raise the price that much limited or not.
Comment by James Thomas January 26, 2012 @ 8:43 amjoker colors and syn gates.. WANTED!
