Have you ever been so proud of something that you’ve made or helped make that you wish you could tell the world about? That’s how I feel when I think of what Deathbat News has become over the years and the family it has built. The only thing I have ever wanted out of this was to make a place for Avenged Sevenfold fans to be able to come together as a family and find all of the most up-to-date and reliable news and information on the band. The appreciation you all show to me and the family bond we’ve all built is something I’ve learned from and something I’ll cherish. It’s also opened my eyes to what a driving force Avenged Sevenfold fans are and how much we can accomplish if we work together to make something happen.
My question to you all is: Do you want to be a part of Avenged Sevenfold history?
TOMORROW Avenged Sevenfold’s “Nightmare” is scheduled to hit shelves and blow your minds. And believe me, it will blow your mind. You’ve all shown so much gratitude towards the band for recording this album and what better way to show them you appreciate it and care then to make “Nightmare” the #1 album on the charts in its first week! There is no better way! There’s no doubt in my mind we can rocket this album past all of the competition (honestly though, the ‘competition’ doesnt stand a chance) and have “Nightmare” debut on the charts as the #1 album. This is the ultimate gift to give to the band. And, we’re closer then you think to being able to pull this off!
How can you help and be a part of Avenged Sevenfold history? Easy! Make sure you purchase the album instead of downloading it online illegally. Buy a few copies for yourself, share with your friends by buying them a copy whether they are an existing Avenged Sevenfold fan or better yet you’re converting them into one!
I know you guys do everything you can to promote this band because they deserve all the success they generate and I think this would not only been a great accomplishment for both them and their fans but by doing this you’ll be spreading the word of Avenged Sevenfold on a worldwide stage and you’ll give the opportunity of being a fan of this band to hundreds and thousands of others. Making “Nightmare” #1 on the charts would be the ultimate and perfect “Thank You” to cap off months of anticipation and to honor them.

I pre-ordered it on Itunes and will be purchasing a hard copy or five to give to friends and family (my 79-year old mom is a huge Zacky V. fan). I look at the $50 or whatever I spend as an investment in the greatest band in the world.

Over the past several years, my interest in A7X has led to many people close to me to experience their music and come to appreciate it. This includes several friends, my mom, one of my sisters, and even my 1-year-old nephew. I am fortunate enough to have a little extra money available, so I am giving “Nightmare” to several people who are close to me as a gift. I’ve already ordered the Book of Nightmares for myself, but I am going to buy the clean version for my sister to play when she’s around my little nephew (we don’t want him dropping the F-Bomb just yet). I also plan on downloading the iTunes Deluxe version and buying a standard album for myself. I’ve read a bunch of comments from fans saying they are purchasing multiple formats of the album, which I think is pretty awesome. On another note, I have thoroughly enjoy DBN and all of the fans who participate in the site. I think it is astounding how the music of A7X generates so much genuine passion, loyalty, and unity. This band and its fans have certainly had an impact on my life. I look forward to the upcoming days and sharing what is sure to be a monumental experience with thousands of awe-inspired A7X fanatics. And I was going to get myself a hard copy in a few weeks, but after this post and all these comments… I’m gonna try to scrape another $10 to buy one at Best Buy the DAY it comes out. I REALLY wanna see A7X hit numba 1 cause all the other shit in the Top 10 need to be owned by real musicians… and also cause I love the band and they deserve to be recognized for their hard work.
So yes, buying a copy on iTunes and one at Best Buy (thank God for sales) to help them with the charts that do not count online sales. Let’s fucking do this!

As far as the 27th goes I plan to snag a few copies at Best Buy right when they open. I would buy much more if money wasn’t so damn tight. Between all of us I think this is going to break records, god I hope so! I’m also trying my hardest to be spoiler free, which is so hard with all the song clips up. Anyhow after work is over I’m turning my phone off, getting a nice stiff drink and listening from start to end with no stopping. I want to give it the full respect and adulation that it deserves. Then I plan to come here and cry with the rest of The Fallen, because this is going to be one emotional rollercoaster.
BTW – I love it here, you guys are all awesome!!

Ever since I picked up my first A7X album (City of Evil) I have not been able to stop listening to this band. I don’t think their music was made for everyone. Most people prefer very generic, made for radio bands. Avenged Sevenfold fans on the other hand appreciate the different sounds they try, and the artistic expression that they pour into their music. Being a East Coast fan from Connecticut, I have the great gift of seeing them in concert only 3 days ofter the album comes out!! I can’t wait. It feels like forever since the last time I saw them.

Then the rest of the albums easily grew on me. I even obtained a taste for metal so I started catching up on Pantera (hella old I know). I finally got to see them in Bakersfield then I was officially hooked! Caught them in LA too which was f-in sick! Needless to say I got tix for the Uproar (9 tickets for the Irvine show) and Ill probably chase them around to whatever other show they might do! Ramble ramble ramble………lol

I already have book of nightmares preordered, and after hearing the album, will be buying a copy at my local best buy day 1 to support them in every way. If you don’t have a lot of money, that is not an excuse to download it illegally and not buy it. It’s $10 plus tax at various places, so buy it. This band deserves all the success they have and they deserve to be #1 on the charts. If u download a leak, whatever that’s fine, but buy it on release day. There isn’t really any other major release on Tuesday other then nightmare, there is no excuse to not be #1. We r the community that got this band on trl, helped them win various awards, and made their awareness as a band skyrocket. Many of us want this band that we love so much to continue making records and touring, what a better way to show that by making them number 1. Even if they don’t, what a way for them To go out, on top. Buy this album. It is truly a great cd and Is worth every penny.

Gonna hit Target when it opens at 8, then head to best buy which opens at 10, then hit the hot topic in the mall right after that! then coming home and setting up everything for my album release party! got like 15-17 of my friends coming over im hooking up my stereo out by my pool with some fog machines and strobe lights! Made a mix of hits from every album and we are gonna lead up to the big finish with Nightmare! gonna be epic! cant fucking wait! I love this band so much I want to honor them in every way that i can!
That sounds like an epic and fitting way to do this.
What time should we be there and what should be bring??? ;-)

They are and always will be my favourite band and the new album is epic, you guys will love the bonus track ‘Lost it All’ also. its well worth it!

Comment by Anonymous July 26, 2010 @ 9:31 amDo you know what, I cant stop myself buying this album xD have bought three copies for close friends, downloaded if off Amazon, HMV and iTunes, am currently waiting for BON (which I am so damn disappointed not to have today) annnnd an “exclusive sleeve” version from HMV… I will be made redundant in August and you know what I DON’T CARE what money I spend, Avenged Sevenfold’ music has brought me through so much and this is the least I can do to thank and support them! If it’s Avenged Sevenfold, it’s worth it <3
