Filed under: Avenged Sevenfold, Live, News

Though an official announcement has not been made yet The PRP are reporting that Avenged Sevenfold may be performing on the 2011 Rockstar Uproar tour. The tour is scheduled to run from August-October.

Deathbat News also received the following from a reader, “I was talking to one of the bands on the Avalanche Tour & they informed me that they, along with A7X, will be on the Uproar Tour for 2011.” A member of another one of the bands included in the rumored line-up has also hinted towards touring with Avenged this year.

Deathbat News reader Katie adds, “LJ, singer of Sevendust, told people after the show they’ll be joining A7X after the European dates for the Uproar tour and more dates after that.”

An official announcement should be made within the next few weeks.

I could literally die from all this touring (: I’m so excited!

Comment by Britt

Man they’re doing a lot of touring. I’m not complaining though! I hope they tour and Uproar comes back to Minneapolis.

Comment by Cory

Same here. Driving down to Iowa to see them at Lazerfest next month.

I’d like to see A7X headline this time, with bands like Coheed or Rise Against this time. Mix it up a bit.

Comment by Brandon

I’m considering driving fom Minnesota to Laserfest too but I’m not quite sure yet. This news might change things if I know I’ll get to see them another time this summer/fall.

Comment by Cory

Its gonna be a blast. BLS, Seether, Stone Sour and A7X to cap it all off. Best part is I couldn’t get work off on the following Monday, Get to go in at 7AM after driving 4 hours starting at Midnight!

Comment by Brandon

I’m driving to Ohio for Rock on the Range to see A7X…plus like 20 other bands that I really want to see, getting my summer’s concert fix in one weekend!

Comment by steve

Me too!! Except I don’t see myself stopping after just that one concert. xD

Comment by Rachel

I’m going to rock on the range too and I’m not close to done with concerts this year, already planning at least 2 more:)

Comment by maddz

Haha yeah, I’m going to Warped for sure, and then idk what else, but there will def be something. :)

Comment by Rachel

I’m pushing for Warped too!

Comment by maddz

Coheed and A7X? I would die. I just saw Coheed for the 4th time on Tuesday (one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen).I missed their ’06 tour and kick myself whenever I think about it.

Comment by Tom

i like how u have more information on this than everyone else. i hope this is true.

Comment by chris

A member from the Black Tide told my sister and I at the Golden Gods that they were headlining the Uproar tour this summer. He couldn’t say it directly because he wasn’t allowed to, but he gave us a nod of approval(:

Comment by Brittany

If Avenged Sevenfold Is Rumored To Be There, I Doubt The Headliners Would Be Black Tide. I’ve Never Heard Of Them. To my Just Now Research, They’re Highest Achievement Was Supporting An Escape The Fate Tour And A Bullet For My Valentine Tour. Both Good Bands.
So.. Yeah, Sums It Up.

Comment by foREVerTJ

If That Was What You Meant Of Course. Could’ve Misinterpreted :)

Comment by foREVerTJ

Maybe he meant they’re headlining the second stage, because i dont see black tied being headliner with avenged in the tour.

Comment by gabriel

I really really really really hope they come by NorCal/SoCal for this slkgjlksdjgaklsdjg this could finally be my first time seeing A7X. I’ve been dying to see them for years now.

Comment by Natasha

They better come to Ireland during all this touring ,I missed ’em last November (Biggest disappointment ever ,I thought it was sold out but there were still a few spots left)

Comment by Colin Drummey

Ooooh second that. They promised during the November concert that they’d return to Dublin :) They better come back soon!!

Comment by Anna Baker

as long as the come to pnc bank arts center like they did last year i will be happy <3

Comment by josh

I’m fine as long as disturbed or 3 days grace isnt

Comment by Jake Fee

Three Days Grace are on the rumored bill.

Comment by deathbatnews

disturbed is headlining Mayhem fest..
sadly

Comment by Warnerve6661

I’m pretty sure Mayhem fest is Disturbed’s tour, at least that’s my understanding..but i could be completely wrong

Comment by steve

Yuck.. Disturbed. Dissapointing.

Comment by foREVerTJ

if you mean that disturbed like runs it, then you’re wrong lol they just seem to be there every year. i think that they each blow the guy from monster to get on the bill each year, because they get booed whenever i saw them.

Comment by otis

I don’t understand why you all seem to hate Disturbed so much! They’re decent and I like them. :P

Comment by Rachel

They don’t change things up at all. They have kept the same sound for 8 years now, and every album (in my opinion) has seemed to go down in quality. And their live show is nothing special; just the same consistent one over and over again.

Comment by Alyssa

I hope they the uproar tour tickets dont go on sale soon my moms bitching already about spending to much this concert on vip n stuff n i doubt she’ll let me go to uproar at the moment…. in a few months she’ll calm down tho :)

Comment by Dianna

Don’t even bother with VIP tickets; you will find them to be a ripoff, and the “items” that you recieve are worth nothing (if you even recieve them at all). Just not worth it in my opinion…

Comment by Alyssa

Yea ive heard all the horror stories about the vip lol I wasnt even considering getting vip for that show.

Comment by Dianna

I have got to be honest…I really don’t like this. I am sort of hoping that it is just a rumor, even though it is probably true.
I went to a couple of dates on the Uproar Festival, and all three 3 experiences were, lets just say, not the greatest. I don’t like the fact that most of the venues are outdoor amphitheatres. That can sometimes mean poorer sound quality, and it was the case for some of the Uproar dates that I went to. Don’t get me wrong, A7X was great. The people running the venues, or amphitheatres are total idiots. If any of you went to the Scranton date last year, and had GA pit tickets, then you probably know what I mean. VIP’s are not worth it, and are pretty much just a waste of money. Also, there will be more bands on the stage, which is a possibility for a smaller time set, with no encore.
JMO, but sorry for the venting…

Comment by Alyssa

I know what you mean, it was a pretty miserable festival. I went to the Phoenix date & nearly passed out from the heat. On the other hand, I think this year’s line up is awesome!

Comment by Kasherton

I forgot that too; the heat was pretty bad. But I guess that is one of the things that you have to expect with an outdoor festival.

Comment by Alyssa

I hope this is true! avenged and seether would be pretty awesome. I wish slipknot or stone sour would play this tour as well.

Comment by francyA7X

I’ve seen Stone Sour with A7X twice now, that’s plenty.

Comment by Cory

Agreed, and they weren’t even very good. I’d much rather see bands like BFMV and Black Tide playing with A7x. Brings back great memories of Taste of Chaos ’08 :D

Comment by dcafwriting

I went to uproar last year but got there about 20 minutes before avenged went on so I missed stone sour. I used to like black tide but they suck now imo

Comment by francyA7X

You didn’t miss much, believe me. Stone Sour has pretty much one good song. As far as Black Tide goes, I liked their first album but haven’t heard anything more recent than that.

Comment by dcafwriting

Stone Sour, Meh. Never Heard Of Black Tide Till Today.

Comment by foREVerTJ

Black Tide opened for A7x back in 2007, right after the s/t album came out. They were pretty solid for an opener.

Comment by dcafwriting

I actually like more than one song by stone sour. haha and i also like black tide’s first album…but not a fan of the new songs i’ve heard.

Comment by francyA7X

It is true. I also heard it straight from one of the bands (who will remain nameless). So if I keep hearing it from different sources that are reputable, I’m pretty sure it’s true. There are some other good bands that will be on it & haven’t yet been mentioned here. Oh, the suspense…

Comment by Kasherton

Pretty sure that Corey is gonna start playing with Slipknot again. They are touring festivals overseas through June and July, they have a date late in September… Leaves the dates for Uproar mostly open… just saying.

Comment by Brian

It would be awesome if Slipknot played Uproar too, since i’m not a fan of any of the other rumored bands.

Comment by francyA7X

Wow!! If all the aboved bands make it on the band lists, including in what the post and comments say, it’s going to be one hell of a tour! And yeah Ms. DBN, it really is amazing that you have sooo much of this information! Sometimes I think, “WTF! How does she know so much?” haha :)

Comment by Noel

I actually got the Uproar rumor on the 18th from the reader who sent in the information from the Avalanche tour but had nothing else to base it off of so I decided to wait. Then, The PRP reports it and everything I had previously heard fits plus all the new information I received. I have to thank the readers though, you guys are the reason I have all this info from various bands commenting on it!

Comment by deathbatnews

You’re welcome :) I figure that you work so hard to get us all the information you can, so this news was too exciting not to share. Thank you for waiting to post it until you’ve seen more evidence. I can’t wait to see the guys again on this tour!!

Comment by Kasherton

I hope its true because they haven’t played any Cali dates, besides the Revolver one, in forever!

Comment by Nicky7x

I know. I went to golden god awards because they are not doing any cali dates. Wtf is up with that?

Comment by kali

Be nice if they kept to their word about touring Australia seeing as they pulled out of the Soundwave 2011 here…

Comment by Anon

Agreed, been waiting for them to tour Australia for ages now! Getting pretty pumped so I hope they come here soon!

Comment by Anonymous

AWESOME! Avenged should headline by themselves and get more time. Also, I do hope they play better venues I agree with Alyssa – the venues were alright but the sound because of being outside wasn’t that good. Had they been indoors it would have been better, and I’ve seen them twice indoors and the sound was better. I also hope they play in Los Angeles this time – I went to Irvine but L.A. is so much easier since I live here. I also hope they play in L.A. before Sept 15…school sucks…

Comment by a7xfreakdrummer

Rockstar will have dual headliners… always do… but I’d expect Avenged to close… unless they have a stage set like they have now, and the other band has one like Disturbed had at Uproar… because that stage that Disturbed had, the audience would be waiting probably like an hour an hour and a half in between sets for that thing to be taken down.

Comment by Brian

Please, please be true.

Comment by Anonymous

i heard megadeth was playing uproar.

Comment by greg

They can’t be; they are playing on Mayhem.

Comment by Alyssa

no, they’re playing mayhem. I wish avenged would play mayhem instead…megadeth and a7x are my favorite bands.

Comment by francyA7X

Megadeth Isn’t Good. i Bet Dave Mustaine Is Still Regretting That Last Career Move xD But Yeah, Megadeth Isn’t Enjoyable Imo

Comment by foREVerTJ

What career move are you talking about? It’s not like he had a choice in leaving Metallica…

Comment by Rachel

are you kidding me?! they’re amazing!! and i know Avenged would definitely enjoy playing with megadeth since they’re big fans.

Comment by francyA7X

I’ll be in Disney World the week they’re in my area.
WHY?!???!???! :(

Comment by Hannah

lol ? theres no dates for the tour yet

Comment by Zzz

Holy effing SHIT. Maybe I WILL be able to go to a show this year after all! Please be true <3

Comment by Bobbi

As long as I get to see avenged I don’t care who they are with! (:

Comment by EmilyA7X

Actually… Amen..

Comment by foREVerTJ

thats weird that theyre playin the same festival 2 years in a row

Comment by danny

ohhhh yeahhhh, mayhem, thats right.

Comment by greg

if they do, they need to headline the festival, they stole the show last year, Disturbed had nothing on Sevenfold

Comment by Anonymous

Agreed! It was my first time seeing Disturbed live and I felt…disappointed. I can’t help but wonder if it was because they were AFTER Avenged.

Comment by Amber

Disurbed was seriously off their game last tour. I saw them a couple years ago on the Music As A Weapon tour and they burned the place down. Uproar just sucked. :(

Comment by Harley Quinn

It’s Cuz Disturbd isn’t THAT Godd.. At All. Imo.

Comment by foREVerTJ

Please be true, please be true, please be true.

Comment by Amber

SWEET JESUS! if they do, I hope they come back to Houston. They put on a bad ass show last year.

Comment by syn's_vengence

Please include Shinedown. That would be…epic!

Comment by Tom

No.. No It Wouldn’t..

Comment by foREVerTJ

I hope its avenged bullet atreyu!!! That would be so sick, and I pray they come through fresno!!

Comment by Robert Navarro

While that would be awesome, Atreyu is on hiatus. If this lineup is true though, we’ll be getting the next closest thing since Black Cloud Collective is Brandon Saller’s side project.

Comment by dcafwriting

Now That’ll Be a Show!!! Hell Yes. Throw In Tool, Mudvayne, And Maybe System Of A Down.. Omg.

Comment by foREVerTJ

I know for a fact that they will be playing cuze I’m friends with someone in one of the other bands that will be on the bill.

Comment by Casey Jones

so what happened to the promise about coming to australia after you cancelled Soundwave.. please guys you have no idea how many fans want you here..

Comment by Nikola

Ahhhh, I hope this is true. Then I can finally see them. So excited already. Too bad that they don’t perform in Estonia during summer, but at August i will come to America for one year. And this was my one dream what I wanted to to during this year. And now, it will finally come true! I really hope they will confirm this and there will be one show in New York.
I love you guys!

Comment by Reelika

oh man i really hope this is true!! I had so much fun at last years uproar!!

Comment by Alicia

Last night I waited till 4am to meet M. Shadows, and he mentioned the next american tour they do he wants to have a vote for the top 13 songs for a setlist, I’m guessing Uproar maybe?

Comment by Megshadows

Im hoping to meet him at the concert im going to aswell…why did u have to wait so long?

Comment by Dianna

I think that’s a pretty standard time. In Detroit back in February, they came out at 3:15.

Comment by Rachel

Great…looks like im gonna be waiting a long time lol thanks for the info tho :)

Comment by Dianna

I really hope they do that… that is an awesome way to make a setlist.

Comment by Brian

Ugh! Finally chance To Get More WTF Tracks That’s Not Unholy Confessions For Once, Lol. maybe Some Stuff From STST. Or Bring Back Scream. Or.. OH. Em. Gee. Throw In 4am! .. o.o

Comment by foREVerTJ

That would be amazing. I have noticed that a lot of bands that are soon to be touring are doing this.

Comment by Alyssa

seriously that would be so fuckin awesome if we could vote for their setlist. awesome is an understatement. Im so pumped im gonna give you my setlist in no order
Natural Born Killer
Nightmare
Buried Alive
Save Me
A Little Piece of Heaven
I Wont See You Tonight Part 1
Victim
Afterlife
Bat Country
Chapter Four
Eternal Rest
Sidewinder
MIA

Comment by Zzz

I would seriously piss myself if they played a setlist like that…

Comment by Alyssa

Omg that would be soooo awesome!! I hope we get to vote for the setlist XD

Comment by francyA7X

Being able to vote for a setlist would be so freaking awesome!

Comment by JaCaria

I really hope the full line-up is wrong. Don’t get me wrong, amazing line-up, but its basically the EXACT same line-up from Welcome to the Family tour, plus Seether who I have seen twice and they are alright, and Escape the Fate who I have never heard of. I would prefer Sevendust to open the main stage and have Escape the Fate on the second stage. Not that I don’t love all the bands on the bill.. but it’d be like seeing the same show twice in a span of a few months.. would prefer some diversity. Guess we will find out.

Comment by David Castlean

Dude. Escape The Fate On The Second Stage? .. Impossibility My Friend. Great Band.

Comment by foREVerTJ

Huh? Escape the Fate was terrible when I saw them open for Atreyu.

Comment by dcafwriting

That’s right come back to socal!

Comment by Juan G

Hell yeah!! I hope A7X does headline, and Slipknot joining the tour

Comment by Scar

when will Avenged stop playing with all of those boring alternative bands and start touring with some metal bands that fit their style.
just look at the Mayhem bill, they actually have there Megadeth In Flames Trivium and Machine Head
i think we all had enough from bands like Papa Roach 3DG Disturbed ETC

Comment by Ron

whos the rumored avalanche band they talked to? stone sour? lol it sounds like most of the rumored bands are on carolina rebellion, i personally think a7x, 3 days grace, and five finger death punch would be fantastic

Comment by deen

i hope that line up is true
i hope that line up is true
i hope that line up is true
good god i do

Comment by Anonymous

Dude, if this happens I will have seen Sevenfold THREE times this year. I could effing faint *_*
Please come to Ohio, or better yet, INDIANA!

Comment by Harley Quinn

I really really hope the are in this year’s Uproar Tour and that Escape the Fate doesn’t play.

Comment by Yoshie Vee

Yea i’d be really pumped to see avenged and Bullet again but really im so sick of avenged touring with all these soft bands. lets add some All that remains and five finger death punch to this tour then I’ll go twice

Comment by Zzz

I need Volbeat to get on this tour
and it will be my dream come true!<3

Comment by Manday

A7X deserves to be playing shows with Megadeth, Trivium, Machine Head, etc. Its good for more opportunities to see them live but imagine them with an amazing line up and them co-headling.

Comment by Jim

I hope they do Uproar 2011, because then I won’t feel so ridiculously sad about not being able to make Rock on the Range since they’d be coming to Cincinnati. Riverbend Music Center kinda sucks though; all seating >.< but I would more than deal with it to just be there.

I hope these rumors are true! If they are, I hope the guys come to St. Louis or at least within 2-hr driving distance of STL. I’ve seen them twice so far this year and seeing them a 3rd time would send me over the moon!
