After arriving in Jakarta, Indonesia to an airport full of excited fans Avenged Sevenfold finally settled in at their hotel where they took part in a press conference ahead of their May 1st performance. You can also catch a short clip from it here.

Heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold from the United States are ready to satisfy fans at their concert in Carnival Beach Ancol, Jakarta, Tuesday (1/5). “Jakarta, which is in a different hemisphere, is always a fun place for us to go,” said lead singer of Avenged Sevenfold M Shadows in a press conference here on Monday. The concert will be their third appearance in Jakarta after earlier entertaining fans in Indonesia in 2007 and 2008.

“We’ll bring you more songs and also songs the fans demand. Two times we have played at the Tennis Indoor, this concert will surely be different,” says Shadows. Meanwhile, A7X guitarist Zacky Vengeance says the most preferred in Indonesia is the behavior of the fans. “I most like the fans here. Their behavior on the internet is amazing. They even picked us up at the airport,” said Zacky.

A7X fronted by M Shadows (vocals), Synyster Gates (lead guitar), Zacky Vengeance (rhythm guitar) and Johnny Christ (bass) will satisfy their fans with songs from the five albums they have generated from 2001 to their last (“Nightmare”) in 2010. Although left without their drummer James “The Rev” Sullivan, who died in 2009, A7X still continue to hone their musical skills and exploration. “We were good friends from when I was in school, we were skateboarding together and get into trouble together,” says guitarist Synyster Gates. Synyster promised a satisfactory performance.

In addition to the main show, the band from Huntington Beach, California, the audience will also be presented with the appearance of rock band Superman Is Dead, the opener, and a fireworks shows in the concert this time. “Although it coincides with the International Labor Day, I hope there are no problems later on. Permits have been prepared. Hopefully all goes well,” said Erie Posse, concert promoter. The committee has also set up in anticipation of rain. “Rock concerts are more interesting if it rains,” jokes Erie.

They’re so well-known in Indonesia. I wish they had that here.
