Whenever I hear Unholy Confessions I get sad, because they usually end with it, meaning their set is almost over :( Lol

Its sad to see them go on break but when they come back they will blow our minds to pluto ;)

Comment by Jeremy

If previous years are any indication, at least a couple of the guys will most likely come out for a final encore to jam with Metallica at the end of the Orion festival tonight

Wow. what a ride its been a7x fam, now begins the new chapter in sevenfold! crazy how fast time has gone, and now we await for some kickass stuff!

Comment by Reyes

Thanks a7x for the last show in Quebec it was awesome. And thanks for just existing and to be in my life since 2003. Now you deserve some rest after these last two years, even if it’s sad for us. Take care of yourself and come back in full shape to blow our mind again! :)

I’m sad to know I won’t be seeing the guys live for another year or more, but they need and deserve a long break. Thanks for a great album and touring cycle, Sevenfold! Now go enjoy yourselves!

Question, are they going on a real hiatus? Where did you hear this?

Comment by care11

They are not going on a hiatus. M Shadows shot that rumor down in a recent interview with Kerrang! Magazine. They’re simply taking time off to rest and relax before they slowly write the next record.

Watching Metallica do their thing makes me wonder what Avenged Sevenfold could be like in ten or so years when they hopefully become the Metallica of this era.

Thank you guys for everything! We love you and now is your turn to rest. Do what you think is best. And when the time comes, I’m sure that we can hear some crazy stuff!
It’s time to new chapter for A7X family. :)

Saw them for the first time last night at Orion. It was absolutely insane. I can’t believe I even saw them. It was kind of like a dream. Thank you Avenged for the amazing experience and… just for existing, really. Have a nice well-deserved break, guys. Can’t wait until you’re back! So excited for the DVD – it’s time to start editing!

Comment by Lindsey

Can’t believe the tour cycle is over, time flies. It still sucks that the band didn’t come to HK no matter how hard the fans here tried.. what I can do now is looking forward to the next tour cycle for another amazing album

Comment by Carol

I can understand avenged wanting to do this with the one and only metallica but i thought they got out of opening for other people they have a nice thing going why go and open for people?

Comment by Andy

Taking into consideration that this was literally Metallica’s festival I don’t think they minded nor had much of a choice.

My daughter and I went to orion in Atlantic city Sunday……it was awesome!!!!!!!! Avenged Sevenfold was amazing! They sounded great and the crowd went crazy’

Comment by momgilbert

They’re really not playing enough songs… They should have played like… 15 songs?

Comment by Anonymous

Two things: 1) When they play their own tours there are curfews in each city. Because of how long some of their songs are, depending on which they chose to play, there’s no way they could fit 15 songs into a set. 2) At Orion they weren’t the headliner so their set was cut even shorter.

Comment by deathbatnews

They have ALWAYS played tiny sets no mater what town, curfew or time slot. I understand how you would defend them because this is your site but if you are gonna do it at least be factual. I have saw these guys 13 times in 7 different cities and when there was barely a difference in any of them. They will never be one of these bands that play for 2/12 to 3 hours. Also there are tons of bands out there with songs just as long and longer that play anywhere from 15-30 songs per night.

Comment by Revenant

I’m defending them because it’s true, not because it’s my site. Also, I am being factual because there have been instances where they’ve had to cut even their 12 song sets down to less because of curfews in some cities. I don’t have a problem with them not being a band that plays 2 1/2 – 3 hour songs because I’m fine with what they do now so you’re preaching to the wrong choir. The average Avenged Sevenfold set is, let’s say 90 minutes long, so I commend any band that can fit 15-30 songs that are just as long if not longer into that time frame.

The point he’s trying to make is that there are bands (Foo Fighters come to mind) that play two hours or longer, which A7X doesn’t do. Certainly doesn’t bother me though.

Comment by Cory

I understand the point he’s trying to make. The point I’m trying to make is that they usually aren’t allotted that much time to play. Will they ever get to a point where they are? I’m sure, but as of right now I’m completely fine with the way things are.

Comment by deathbatnews

And I, of course, agree with that.
