Chris Epting has written a review of Avenged Sevenfold’s “Hail To The King” album release show that took place at the Hollywood Palladium last night for Loudwire. You can also read his review of “Hail To The King” here.

Newly minted official member, drummer Arin Illejay was solid, but in the end it mostly came down to Shadows, Gates, Johnny Christ and Zacky Vengeance, preaching to the faithful choir before hitting the road and taking it around the world. What an incredible party to get things started.

Chris has always been such a gracious and kind supporter of both the band and this wonderfully dysfunctional A7X family, and he is really just an all around kick-ass guy. I always love reading his columns when they feature the band, and I can only imagine the amazing time he and his son had at that show. Truth be told I’m a little jealous, hahaha, but I’m still elated they got to go regardless. And how about those pictures?!?! I was loving to read a review of the album coming from someone who is fan, and if any of you that don’t have his book Hello, It’s Me should really go out and get it. There is a powerful and heartfelt essay about Avenged Sevenfold in it. The book is all around great with his own personal crazy stories as he’s navigated his way through this thing called life, so the A7X essay is just the icing on the cake.
