Lochlin from Edmonton’s 100.3 The Bear spoke with M Shadows before Avenged Sevenfold took off to Brazil for Rock In Rio about finding out KROQ added “Hail To The King” to rotation, sticking to one idea for the new album and topics touched on through lyrics, “Hail To The King” bringing fresh faces to the Avenged Sevenfold fan base, Arin Ilejay, having touring commitments to Australia, South America, Southeast Asia and a full North American tour including Canada kicking off in early 2014, the “Shepherd Of Fire” music video (directed by Wayne Isham) being inspired by Oliver Stone’s Natural Born Killers with elements from Pink Floyd’s The Wall show to be added in post-production and the “King.”

Hmm…early 2014 huh? I’d love to see a tour with Volbeat! See you boys in Cincy on 10/6. New album is fantastic. Shepherd, Coming Home, Acid Rain are tops but I can honestly say I love all the songs on this one!

it’s just getting better and better, isn’t it? this new album is a gold mine, each song is a jem.. the shepherd of fire video sounds unbelievably awesome, can’t wait… just one thing… a7x are doing a lot of shows, it’s certainly great for the fans but i pray the musicians do not overextend themselves, wtf are we all gonna do then… so few bands out that survive the test of time .. please take care of yourselves, a7x!!
