Jaxon at 93.3 WMMR in Philadelphia got a call from Zacky Vengeance today and the two talked about Avenged Sevenfold going back to their roots with the new album “Hail To The King” and it being “one solid piece of heavy metal,” the band’s upcoming tour with Deftones and Ghost B.C., the band’s new stage production surpassing anything they’ve ever done and Jaxon asks if Arin Ilejay is now an official member of Avenged Sevenfold. Amy Volume from Ottawa’s The Bear 106.9 spoke with Arin Ilejay while Avenged Sevenfold are in Mt. Pleasant, MI for tonight’s show to talk about playing Heavy MTL, what his “gun show” situation is like, Avenged Sevenfold’s sound being a “constant evolution” and what direction the band were going in with “Hail To The King,” why he’s thankful to visit Canada and more. When asked his opinion on the heaviest song on the album Arin describes “This Means War” as “the heaviest, just very.. just driving. Very heavy-hitting, very open and just huge huge sounding for sure.” He also prepares fans for “Hail The King” saying, “get ready for a new kind of epic. A new kind of epic and heaviness that’s going to drive you to a place of revelation about life.”
